General Terms and Conditions for Felipe Hoyos International Psychology
These General Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Felipe Hoyos International Psychology (“the Practice”). By engaging in services with the Practice, clients agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Services Provided
The Practice provides professional therapy sessions focused on mental health and well-being. All services are strictly therapeutic and intended to support clients’ mental health.
2. Appointments
- Cancellations: We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. This notice allows us to make the time available to other clients.
- Late Arrivals: If a client arrives late, the session will proceed for the remaining scheduled time, and the full session fee will apply. For appointments where lateness exceeds 20 minutes without prior notice, the session may be considered missed, and the full fee may apply.
3. Fees and Payment
- Fee Structure: The Practice charges fees on a per-session basis, with options for 60-minute or 90-minute sessions. Current tariffs are available on the website under Fees and Administration.
- Invoicing: Clients receive a monthly invoice, detailing sessions from the previous month.
- Payment Terms: Payments are due within 8 days of the invoice date. Accepted payment methods include direct bank transfers. Late payments may result in interest charges or collection fees, at the discretion of the Practice.
4. Confidentiality and Data Protection
All personal and health information shared within the therapeutic setting is kept strictly confidential, in compliance with the GDPR and Dutch AVG regulations. Our full Privacy Policy can be viewed on our website under PrivacyPolicy.
5. Liability
The Practice is committed to providing professional mental health services to support clients’ well-being. However, therapy outcomes are influenced by many factors, and the Practice cannot guarantee specific results. By engaging in therapy, clients acknowledge that:
- The effectiveness of therapy may vary for each individual, and outcomes are influenced by personal commitment, outside factors, and individual differences.
- The Practice is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise during or after therapy, except as required by Dutch law.
- If any dissatisfaction with therapy arises, clients are encouraged to communicate concerns with the therapist promptly.
6. Termination of Therapy
Clients may terminate therapy at any time, as there is no contract binding them to a set number of sessions. However, we encourage clients to discuss any decision to end therapy in advance to ensure appropriate closure and continuity of care.
7. Communication
Our primary communication method is email. For non-urgent matters, please contact the Practice via the designated email address provided at the time of your intake. Please note that response times may vary, and emails are typically not monitored outside of business hours.
8. Governing Law
These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Dutch law. In the event of any dispute, the courts of the Netherlands shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
These General Terms and Conditions are subject to periodic updates. Clients are encouraged to review this document periodically, as continued use of services signifies acceptance of any revised terms.
